Respect was at the Broken Rainbow UK Awareness Month Flagship Reception-22.05.14

Respect was represented by Ippo Panteloudakis, our Helplines Manager, at the Broken Rainbow UK Awareness Month Flagship Reception on Thursday 22 May. There were speeches from Jo Harvey Barringer-Broken Rainbow Interim Managing Director, Polly Neate-Women’s Aid CEO, Ippo Panteloudakis-Respect Helplines Manager and Lord Paddick-who spoke as a survivor of domestic violence.
Ippo spoke about the long-standing partnership between Respect and Broken Rainbow and the need to strengthen partnerships between domestic violence and LGBT organisations. Ippo also spoke about the experience of Respect working with male victims of domestic violence in same-sex relationships via the Men’s Advice Line.
