What is Impact

Impact is a Daphne III project “IMPACT: Evaluation of European Perpetrator Programmes” started in January 2013 and will be finished by the end of 2014. The aim of Impact is to improve the quality of European programmes for perpetrators of domestic violence where the primary goal is to promote women’s and children’s safety from domestic violence. The improvement strategy is based on the development of tools and methodologies to harmonise and enhance the monitoring and evaluation of the results of work with perpetrators in European countries.

The project produced 3 working papers covering the evaluation:

Working Paper 1: Outcome measurement in European perpetrator programmes: a survey

Working Paper 2: Overview and Analysis of Research Studies Evaluating European Perpetrator Programmes

Working Paper 3: Possibilities for multi-site multi-country European evaluation studies on domestic violence perpetrator programmes

The working papers are available on the WWP-EN Impact project web pages http://www.impact.work-with-perpetrators.eu/index.php?id=14&L=0

The Impact measurement tool kit which supports services in measuring the effectiveness of their intervention with perpetrators of domestic violence is available at http://www.impact.work-with-perpetrators.eu/index.php?id=16

The impact tool kit is also available as a web based tool in the UK. Organisations using Impact online enter anonymised data and can receive reports on their results as individual services but can also be bench marked with similar services.
