Job opportunity: Make A Change Practitioner (x2), Lincolnshire

A unique and exciting opportunity to join Respect’s team to deliver our newly developed intervention, Make a Change, in Lincolnshire.  Make a Change is a behaviour change programme for those who perpetrate abusive behaviours in their relationships.

We are looking for two motivated practitioners, one male and one female who either have experience of working with Domestic Abuse or a related area and would like to develop skills in this area.  Experience of working on behaviour change programmes, delivering training and community work would be advantageous.    

Make a Change is a whole system, community focused response to perpetration of domestic abuse.  This project is a partnership between Respect and Women’s Aid to develop an early response to those who use abusive behaviours in their relationships.  We will also work with communities and professionals to raise awareness of the issues, offer effective interventions as well as challenging values and attitudes that create conducive environments for domestic abuse to continue.

The model is inspired by and works to the same values and ethos of the well established Women’s Aid Change That Lasts Model.  Further information on the model:

The Perpetrator practitioners will be employed, and line managed by Respect, and accountable to the Respect Director of make a Change.

This work is funded by the Police Transformation Fund and supported by the Office of Police Commissioner in Lincolnshire and Sussex where the pilot sites will be located.

Location          Lincolnshire, with occasional travel.  There will also be travel within the county as this is an outreach based delivery model.  Exact locations within the counties are still to be determined.

Salary £28,600 (point 32 on Respect’s scale, related to the NJC scale) plus 6% pension contribution

Contract         35 hours per week, Fixed term contract to March 2020.
